The State Department has announced that on Saturday, March 10th, many passport acceptance facilities will be open to accept passport applications. Most of them are closed on Saturdays, so this may be very convenient if you can't get to them during the week. No appointments are necessary. Here's the link:

O.K., so now I'm worried. I remarried in 2010 and since my passport had just been renewed, I didn't renew in my new name.

I didn't realize that I could change my name for free up to one year.

So figured I'd save some money and just use my old passport and bring a copy of my Birth Certificate and Marriage License.

Should I get a new passport and worried I will receive in time as we sail on 4/28?

Last time the return time was 2 weeks for the new one's.

Renew or not to renew. The question remains.

Please advise.

Thanks
