wine selection on RCCL

Recommended Posts

We thought Jewel of the Sea had a pretty good selection and ordered a bottle of wine three or four nights. I think we had wine from California and Australia. We did not do the wine package for our six day cruise as we did not want to lock in buying 5 or 6 bottles, which I believe was the minimum. As for price, there is the typical restaurant mark up.

One tip we learned, however, if you order a bottle of wine with dinner and do not finish it, your waiter will cork it for you and bring you your bottle the next night.

The wine list was revamped about 2 years ago. I think it is disappointing overall if you are really a wine drinker.

The mark ups are really high. There are a couple of nice French wines, and a few decent Italians, but it is predomaniately unimaginative California wines.

Just MHO.
