Welcome Back Gift Basket Contents

Recommended Posts

Has RC changed the welcome back gift basket and not updated their website? This isn't a whine/complaint - just me being curious.

In December our gift basket had trail mix, chocolate chip cookies, dried fruit, and we each got a choice of beverage.

In February our gift basket had key lime cookies and dried fruit but we only got one beverage to share.

The red text below is copied from the C&A website. It says one sweet (cookies), on salty (trail mix), and one fruit (dried fruit) snack in the basket. It also says one beverage per guest. I was just wondering if they changed the basket contents between December and February but hadn't updated the website. It wouldn't be the first time the website was behind. They still have old Portofino menus posted and those were changed over a year ago.

Emerald, Diamond, Diamond Plus and Pinnacle Club members will receive a pre-selected welcome gift basket on day one of their sailing. The pre-selected gift basket will consist of one sweet, one salty and one fruit snack which will be placed in the guest's stateroom. The guest will also be able to go online to http://www.RoyalCaribbean.com/UpgradePreferences or call one of our Loyalty Representatives in their local offices to pre-select from a list of beverages to be included with their Welcome Basket. One beverage can be selected per guest 18 years of age or older. Preferences must be entered or updated for your upcoming cruise vacation up to 5 days before a US based sailing and 7 days for an internationally based sailing. The beverage selection list for Emerald and Diamond members will include water, juice and soda items. In addition to the previous list Diamond Plus and Pinnacle Club members will be able to select certain beers, a house red wine or house white wine. If a guest has not selected an item then bottled water will be sent to the stateroom. House alcoholic brands may be substituted or changed upon available inventory.

you should have one drink per person. If you only receive one between the two of you see the Loyalty Ambassador onboard.

On our Oasis cruise we got two bottles of water instead of our expected wine, no idea why as we hadn't altered our profile, Corado the LA sorted it out no problem.

One set of our friends regularly got one bottle of wine and two glasses, again the LA sorted it out.

The room steward doesn't organise the delivery so don't even bother querying it with them , go straight to the LA.

Do you each have a separate ID to log into C&A? If not, you need to do that so that you can each select what you want in the form of a what beverage you would like to include with the Welcome Aboard Basket.

The contents of the baskets will vary depending on their distributor.

We each had a separate C&A user account. Funny thing - we got one orange juice for our beverage and that wasn't listed as the preference for either of us. Not a omplaint - it was free and not worth making an issue about. Dried fruit was okay. I liked the trail mix that we got in December and would have liked some more. The cookies (both December and February) were dry and inedible for humans. Pigeons in Nassau and sea gulls in St. Croix appreciated them, though. :p;)
