bus to cruise port copenhagen

We're thinking of taking a pre-cruise hotel in Nyhavn. From what I've read it looks as if it's possible to get from there to Freeport with bus no. 26 from kongens nyrtov (not on weekends). Does anybody know if this is correct? Is it possible to get on the bus with luggage?

My son and I took the bus from the cruise port to the main train station after our Emerald Princess cruise, and we had luggage. There was just one low step to get on the bus. I ordered the Copenhagen Card before leaving home, and it covered our bus transportation, as well as sightseeing admissions later.

 

Warning - Copenhagen was where I used a lot of local currency, because my US credit card without a 4-digit pin didn't work in their machines.
