Arrived Sunday, March 11th on the NCL Star, had breakfast at 6 in the Market Cafe. Got in line at 6h45 for the immigration as we are Canadians. Desk was scheduled to open at 7h10 and was right on time. We were already pulling our small carry on suitcases. Cleared immigration and proceeded to Spinnaker lounge to be first in line for self disembark.

Ship was cleared for walk off at 8h35. Proceeded quickly to taxi pick up (we had scouted this out prior to boarding so knew exactly where we were heading) woke up the driver of the first cab who was having a good snooze. Arrived at the airport by 9 AM. Printed boarding passes. No luggage to check. We were already through security and at our gate by 9h25, a full hour before flight time.

I know this isn't for everyone, but we were not stressed, didn't worry about it during the cruise and just wanted to make the direct non-stop flight. We were fully aware of the risks and had considered all back up plans.

Lots of things could have happened but they didn't. If you plan an early flight make sure you think out all the little details. It can be done.
