fallen4ever84 Posted March 13, 2012 #1 Share Posted March 13, 2012 How quickly can you get on a tender to Belize if you have an excursion booked with a independent company? I've read a few posts about how others have decided to book the ships excursion due to concerns about not getting a tender boat in time to make an excursion booked independently. We'll be on the Carnival Legend in July and are leaning toward doing the Goff's Caye trip booked through Island Marketing. Since Carnival doesn't have an excursion that goes there we have to book independently and would like to do some shopping in the tourism village if time allows before going back to the ship. My only experience with tendering was in Grand Caymen a few years ago. We had an independent excursion booked and were able to get right on a tender boat early in the morning with no problem and no waiting at all. Ended up being early for our excursion! Hoping others have had similar experiences in Belize?
justkiya Posted March 13, 2012 #2 Share Posted March 13, 2012 I was on the NCL Spirit, and was able to get on the first or second Tender boat leaving that morning - it was no problem at all.
Armedaneian Posted March 14, 2012 #3 Share Posted March 14, 2012 The tenders they're using are quite a bit bigger than they used to be, so you can get to the mainland quicker these days. To be safe, just show up a few minutes early to get your tender tickets and be ready for them to call your number. :)

We were able to get on the 1st tender boat over. It will also depend on the # of ships in port that day. Also make sure you are ready to board the last tender back to the ship in time. Again, we had no problem w/ doing this last time.
