Is it true there is a pool to use right as you get off the ship?

We've never been to Costa Maya but I've heard there is a free pool to use right as soon as you get off the ship.

We did a cruise last year and went to Grand Turk. They had a pool near Margueritaville's and a beach a little ways down. Is this port similar?

Does anyone have pictures?

The best time is in the AM; many are on tours. In the afternoon, the pool is wall to wall people.

Yeah, that's what I figured. Our ship doesn't get it until 12:45 and leaves at 5:30. So now I'm thinking of maybe doing an excursion elsewhere. Now just to figure out what to do.

Do you know what ships are in port that day? You can search on "Costa Maya port schedule" aka Mahajual. That would help to know what to expect. Having been there 5+ times, my most favorite excursion was to Maya Chan.

You can also take a taxi into town; walk around and have lunch. Look at the board for Cost Maya on Ports to read what people have said about their excursions.

Thanks. I forgot I can look up the port schedule. And I found out that we'll be the only ship on each of the islands. So maybe the pool at the port won't be so bad with us being the only one there.
