Renting a car in Vancouver

Hello-

 

We are doing a cruise from San Diego to Vancouver. We are looking at renting a car and driving back to Seattle the same day we get off the boat. What rental cars are closest... the airport, or is there somewhere closer?

National has a location in the Pan Pacific which is adjacent to Canada Place. However all of the rental companies have locations within about 6 blocks and I suspect they will shuttle you from the pier.

Check with the car rental companies to see if they allow you to drop the car off in the States. There will probably be an extra charge for that.

you'll want one of the downtown locations, rather than the airport (about 10 miles south of downtown)
