delraydoll Posted March 16, 2012 #1 Share Posted March 16, 2012 We're booked on Nautica Jan '13 cruise and have checked out the roll call already. However, have a few questions for passengers from last year's similar cruise. Not sure if the ports of call were the same as the upcoming cruise. Did anyone arrange private tours in Mayotte, Maputo, Nosy Be, Dar es Salaam, Zanzibar, Mombasa, Mahe, Male, Colombo? If so, would love to know details. We live in FL so going to the beach isn't paramount -- we do like city/cultural sightseeing. Also, did anyone go to Malacca from Port Klang? Private taxi or tour company? Have been there many times as we lived in KL. We know there's nothing in Port Klang! Please respond to cyr13408@yahoo.com Thanks.
vaitape Posted March 16, 2012 #2 Share Posted March 16, 2012 First, check back on the roll call for our cruise last year........there are suggestions there. I organized a tour for Nosey Be to see the lemurs on Nosey Koomba.........fun, touristy of course and heaps cheaper than the ship. We rented a car in Mahe and did our own sightseeing but you can get a taxi or walk into town to do your walking tour of the town, didn't find much happening in Male....some went to an island for the day but we just walked around Male....not a lot there either, did the little tourist train in Maputo. You can hire a tuk-tuk in Colombo to have a look around for cheap, and our stops in Dar Es Salaam, Zanzibar and Mombasa were canceled by Oceania so be careful about pre-paying.........
