First, life: a baby gator sits on momma's back for protection:

 

And inevitably, death: a turtle sits helplessly in the grips of an alligator's jaws...not yet dead but likely headed in that direction:

Wellington, NZ - our cruise around Au / NZ was coming to an end.

 

 

The "Residensea" ship was there and I was able to grab a shot from our tour bus.
