Afraid so. Ring of Fire strikes again. Only a matter of time before one of these hits California.

I'm sitting on the New Madrid fault in Missouri. We are way overdue for a big one.

a 7.9 earthquake in Mexico is the least of their problems. The region it hit is " cartel land".

I have worked throught and lived in alll the earthquakes in calif and Hawaii from 5.0 to 7.2. for 50 years Calif and US bulding standards and emergency response are the best in the world. Damage is usualy minimal and short lived. The new Madrid is not much different. Relax.

I would be more fearful of tornadoes, blizzards and pythons in florida than an earthquake I even lived and worked on Mt St Helens for 2 years... No wories

So you are saying a 7.6-7.9 in CA is nothing to worry about. I sure am glad to hear that. Thanks. I was concerned there for a second.
