Driving and Traffic Laws

The highest speed limit is 35 mph. But you never go close to that because of all the turns on the mountains. Some areas of the island do not have good road signs, but you can't be lost for long because the island is not that big.

Basically, the rules are the same. Can turn left after stop on red, that sort of thing. Make sure you wear your seat belt and do not use a cell phone unless you have a hands-free device. Watch for people stopping suddenly in the road. Watch out for people driving in the middle of the road. Watch for people walking across the street willy-nilly.

There is a strange but legal maneuver allowing you to drive in reverse as long as you are going the correct direction for that lane.
