Bahamian Rum

Can anyone recommend a good local rum to buy in the Bahamas?

 

I've heard that there's some good brands (besides Bacardi) that are really cheap.

You can get Don Lorenzo's in Nassau. I LOVE the banana type. Its to die for.;)

Don Lorenzo has some very good flavored rums. Ole Nassau has a couple of good ones also. Their Jack Malantan is a good 5 year old, and Yer ho! is a very nice 7 year old rum. These are very reasonably priced at around $10.

Nassau Royale is a liquore rum, with a hint of vanilla. Delicious straight up.
