Hi All,

 

Would anyone know any info about whether there is a customs duty that must be paid on jewellery purchased in the caribbean. We will be stopping in St. Thomas and St. Maarten and are interested in buying jewellery. However, I am unsure if EU citizens have to pay a large duty on items purchased :confused:

They shops will be 'duty free', which means THEY did not pay any import duties. But that does not mean that you will not have to pay duty when returning to Ireland. EM
