CruiseTeacher7 Posted April 1, 2012 #1 Share Posted April 1, 2012 Hi Folks, I stumbled upon this website: http://portevergladeswebcam.com/ this afternoon and I was able to watch HAL Eurodam sail away. I really think someone must have been filming it sail away using this webcam because there were some upclose shots of the ship (I mean zoomed into individual balconies). Anyways this no ordinary port cam--it is HDTV. Beats the pants off the puny Port of Tampa webcam (which I was able to use to watch one ship leave today). Anyways, give it a try. I would recommend http://www.cruisecal.com/portal/ to see when ships are leaving the port. Have fun!

Click onto their site and you can sign up for a video and/or photo of your cruise.

DanJ Posted April 1, 2012 #4 Share Posted April 1, 2012 Yep, that webcam is very popular around this site. Apparently it's mounted just off the second floor of the first condo tower you come to as you leave the port. I don't know that for sure, just what's been said here. The guy who runs it used to post quite often on here under the name inletcam. It's a very good camera that's for sure.

CruiseTeacher7 Posted April 1, 2012 Author #7 Share Posted April 1, 2012 Thanks for the tip about the sail a way videos! I haven't been able to find a webcam for the port of Miami. I use cruisecal.com to check where ships are and they have links to ship and port cams, but there are never any for Miami. I'm really surprised Miami doesn't have one. Hello Dan, The Port Everglades Webcam has absolutely no connection or affiliation with the other site (which has been offline for almost a year now) and we have been in the same location since 2006. If you go to our site, you will see a photo we have posted as to the location under the "Request-a-Wave" Link. We also own and operate the webcam on the rooftop of the Hyatt Regency Pier Sixty-Six in Ft Lauderdale, as well as the other webcams listed below. Enjoy!
