Rare Turtles06 Posted April 3, 2012 #1 Share Posted April 3, 2012 For those of you in South Florida: I will be driving on the morning of Sat., April 21 from our hotel in Ft. Lauderdale to the cruise terminal in Miami (or, more precisely, to the Hertz downtown rental car drop off). I haven't found any major Miami events on line that would pose any traffic concerns that day (like a marathon!), but I wanted to ask the experts whether you know of anything I should be aware of in terms of this drive. And I assume that I should just head south on 95, and that I won't need a SunPass or something like that that will trip me up if I don't have it... Thanks in advance for any info or tips! ragtiki2004 Posted April 4, 2012 #2 Share Posted April 4, 2012 Do not believe you need a Sunpass on I95 in Florida. However you would most likely need one on the Florida Turnpike or if you take I75. Bob:)
miamiyogi Posted April 4, 2012 #3 Share Posted April 4, 2012 My social calendar is clear, so if there is something going on, it will be minor and not affect your commute in Miami. You don't need a sunpass on I-95, simply avoid the Express Lanes (the furthest left two lanes) they are clearly marked and delineated.
