Charleston Hotels

We always stay at the Francis Marion Hotel when we're in Charleston ... true Charleston feel there! :)

July tends to be a bit warm so you might be able to get a deal if you check carefully. Spring is their "high" season.

Thanks for visiting SC! Most people love Charleston. :)

We will be spending a couple of nights in Charleston pre-cruise in July. Would like to spend some time in the historic district. Hotels seem to be very expensive. Any suggestions on best hotel in the area for the money?

There are some really nice hotels in Mt. Pleasant BUT to do downtown justice it's best to stay downtown.

Check out these websites. The Best Western King Charles Inn. or the Days Inn would most likely be the "cheapest" and still right downtown. Another thing to try is call the actual hotel and ask for a cruise rate.

Remember that July can be rather "sticky" and hot downtown.
