Well, They've done it again! We took our boys on SD 1 for their birthday celebrations and let me tell you, they have become addicts just like their parents. Is it possible to praise SD any more than we already have? The crew was simply amazing! Christophe and Silvio are true professionals and make things happen...Thank you! Doramus, Eugene, Mihael, Nicola, Markus, Mark, Pablo and of course the legend...Olivier! This team is excellent...Thank you! Job greeted us in the terminal and he was always making sure we had our liquid diet...Thank you! Frud & Brenda - Our boys love you both! Rutzie - Thank you for taking care of our rooms...we appreciate you--and folks, she has an amazing voice (move over Celine). She's going to Vegas!!!! We had a chance to visit SD2 when we were next to it in St. Bart's. It was great to see Jaime, Enos and Jay of SD2. Thank you for breakfast! Jo-Jho came over then and we saw her on SD1

The birthday bash was spectacular! The pastry chef prepared a vintage Mickey cake for DS1's 18th B-Day and the SD choir sang beautifully. DS2 was not left out...aka "Harry" received a B-Day cupcake! DSs along with a new friend also received the award of diligence for lasting so long on the banana boat...just could not lose them....it was hilarious watching the pilot trying to dump them!

So, did we have a great time? Immediately signed up for two more cruises with the option to book two more. WE LOVE SEADREAM!

wow - That was fast sister! Just looking at your posts and wondering if there's any chance we could all hook-up on SD? We have two bookings for the end of this year with the possibility of two more for next year?

Z - Not sure yet but may be Nov. and kicking around New Years....now that's a blow-out! Also thinking about Jan or March 2013

We are on SDI for Thanksgiving. A St. Martin round trip will be fun!

vacation dates one year in advance

I think DSNYDRMR's head is still spinning from the cruise--he didn't see the 2013.

Seriously, he had to be dragged from the boat. DS18 and he were campaigning to send DS12 and me home and leave the two of them on for another week. They almost had me convinced, too. It did seem cruel to make them disembark and they didn't have school and work to return to...

:p

So glad to have the future credits to look forward to, altho it is difficult to 1) schedule and 2) keep DSNYDRMR from running away from home to join up with the ship immediately.

HeyDSNYSDRMR, we were on the cruise with you. I totally agree with you, the staff was amazing. Nicola and Job served us at dinner and they were fabulous..as were all of the others. Rutzie, what a voice...my sister had her photo taken with her, and got her autograph, so she can show people when she turns famous. Last but not least, I'm sure you are aware of it, but your 2 boys were absolutely a delight to cruise with. I know many people think kids don't belong on Seadream, but if they sailed with your kds they would change their minds! So polite and well-mannered...I especially enjoyed watching your youngest escort the older women to dinner in the evenings! :)

:o awwww...thanks....

The boys are such SD addicts that they will be quite annoyed when we cruise without them now! When DSNYDRMR talks about 2 cruises with the option of 2 more he's talking about using "their" options and they are NOT happy about that!

kids don't belong on Seadream

Just to be hypocritical, my kids think most kids don't belong on SD, :p and they are quite happy to have it to themselves.

piratelooksat45

I expected you on our cruise and went around to groups of women asking "are any of you piratelooksat 45?" I only got a lot of strange looks. I don't know if you were sailing incognito or I just missed asking you. Maybe I'll run into you at a Rutzie concert someday! :)

You probably didn't know it was me, cause I am no where near 45 anymore :( and I wasn't dressed as a pirate! Actually, I was with the large family group...we were on the Catamaran Excursion with you.

See?! This is what I have been saying all along.... Is SD a cruise for (most) kids? No...most kids would be bored and the majority of adult passengers want the peace and quiet that comes with a mainly "adults/couples oriented" cruise.

Are Fpebbles and DSNYDRMR's 2 boys mature, respectful of others, smart, and still fun and interesting to be around? You betcha!!

And this, coming from someone who prefers adult only cruises and who never had kids without furry paws attached!! ;)
