celbercrz333 Posted April 27, 2005 #4 Share Posted April 27, 2005 Balcony, It would depend on the service. We didn't tip any extra, but then we didn't do any formal dining on our 3 nighter. I feel like you should tip what you think is correct, not have it taken from your account automatically. That is why I like Celebrity over Carnival. That is why I like Celebrity over Carnival. :) If that's your only reason for choosing Celebrity over Carnival... ...You can very easily remove the auto-tipping and request envelopes for tipping on your own. (MOST people don't, but you can with no problem.) Have you even been on a Carnival cruise?
Cotton Posted April 29, 2005 #6 Share Posted April 29, 2005 Balcony, I'm a solo cruiser, and usually take five-night cruises. I tip my cabin steward $10 extra, waiter $10 extra - on the last evening. (If it were a seven-nighter, I'd increase it a bit.):)
