happy cruzin Posted April 12, 2012 #51 Share Posted April 12, 2012 Put the right stuff on them and apparently you can get there. Why anyone would want to is another story. Agreed!
RTRMom Posted April 12, 2012 #52 Share Posted April 12, 2012 Here is the blog http://travelingmamas.com/guys-burger-joint-on-carnival-cruise-lines-funship2dot0/ I guess you would be putting anything and everything on the burger to get to that. bigcraig Posted April 12, 2012 #53 Share Posted April 12, 2012 1800 calories is more than I eat in 2 days since my gastric sleeve procedure, it would probably take 4 days to eat it
jerrymac Posted April 12, 2012 #54 Share Posted April 12, 2012 I've been on liberty twice since Funship 2.0 changes! Five Guys is not close to Guys. Guys is also better than Johnny Rocket's! Never waited over 10 seconds for a burger, and they don't sit there over 2 minutes, they have a well run system!
Rare crewsweeper Posted April 12, 2012 #55 Share Posted April 12, 2012 What kind of cook skips culinary school? :p I only know him from something DW used to watch, "Minute to win it". Now, what's that recipe for hamburger again? :D He has a couple of restuarants out in Northern California. Only the tEx Wasabi place has "Guy's Burger Joint" burgers on the menu and they aren't the same as on the Liberty menu picutres. EXACTLY!! I have only seen the "1800" in blog posts - early on when Guys first appeared. Someone said "up to 1800 each" and now I think it's stuck. :o  Here is the blog http://travelingmamas.com/guys-burger-joint-on-carnival-cruise-lines-funship2dot0/ I think she is the source of the 1800 calories. Doesn't site where she got that from. Seems logical for the fully loaded one with french fires and fixings. His restaurants menus don't lis ttheir calories, but other sites have some of his items. Most, even the beef dishes with bourbon sauce say under 300 calories. But many reported calories for restaurant meals have purported tendency to under count calories or report calories on a USDA "serving size" ( the one that says a small 4 oz bag of chips has 6 servings:eek:) not on the size served. I guess you would be putting anything and everything on the burger to get to that.

I'm afraid that the Liberty non-smoking policy is leading the way of non-smoking on all Carnival ships, so you may be S-O-L on trying a Guys if the smoking policy is the ruling hueristic for your ship/dining selections.
