Anyone want to abandon Thomson ?

No doubt these will be real bargains in many respects. However, even before the Costa Concordia incident I would never have considered a Costa cruise as the reports on the Costa ambience simply didn't appeal.

 

You can always fined something cheaper but whether it is good value is another matter altogether.

 

Some people fly Ryanair....

 

Same here , we have seen the Deliziosa and the Victoria close up and nothing was making us think "wish we were on it"

and this also was before the incident. As for Value ,that comes down to your own personal needs .

We flew Ryanair from Manchester to Dublin as one of our sons were working over there .One Saturday morning and back same day on an evening flight for a pound each way , taxes paid ! £4 for a day trip which the flight took 45 mins tops .We did not need trimings ,like food ,after all we have spent longer on a bus and that did not serve food either .

As you say good value is another matter altogether. The same goes for what anyone expects out of a cruise .:)
