Bobby Dee Posted April 25, 2012 #1 Share Posted April 25, 2012 My review posted on the member reviews: http://www.cruisecritic.com/memberreviews/memberreview.cfm?EntryID=101458. If there are any specific questions, I'll be happy to answer this week. After that I'm going to be concentrating to my next trip. By the way, the wife and I had a really great time. It wasn't perfect, but I would sail again.

mets550 Posted May 10, 2012 #3 Share Posted May 10, 2012 Thanks for the review. A few questions: 1. You said that lobster was a for-fee item on the menu. I've never seen that before. I know they don't serve lobster on four-nighters, but I've never seen it actually offered for a fee. Do you remember how much it was? Was it the same lobster they serve on longer cruises in the fisherman's platter? Was it also offered as an additional upcharge in Chops? 2. Was there $5/$6 blackjack in the casino? Every ship we've been on has had $5/$6 blackjack, but Explorer last year only had $10. Every other game was $5, but, even when the casino was empty, they refused to lower the blackjack minimums. Thanks again!
pam_1024 Posted May 10, 2012 #4 Share Posted May 10, 2012 Great review! I am glad to see David Orion is still doing shows on RC ships. He was the comedian on our first cruise ever. The Majesty in 2008. I thought he was really funny and his shows were clean enough for my son to enjoy too. We were on the Jewel over Thanksgiving last year and I definitely want to sail on her again. Beautiful ship!
