getaway4fun Posted April 27, 2012 #1 Share Posted April 27, 2012 My husband and I were on the Pearl the first week in April and one of the ports was Cozumel. We stopped by Senor Frogs and had a few drinks, paid with our VISA and went on our way. This was the only place that we used our credit card. We just received a Fraud call from our VISA company that there was a charge on our account from Cozumel that just posted on the 25th of April. I always call the credit card companies and alert them to our travel plans and they said because they had a travel alert on our account, this transaction flagged. They said that someone was "skimming" on our card to see if at a later date it could be used again without a fraud flag. Our card was cancelled and thank goodness for the diligence of our credit card company, but what a pain to have to go back to all the places that we have this credit card on record with. Just a warning: Be careful when using your credit cards anywhere!
lovevacadays Posted April 27, 2012 #2 Share Posted April 27, 2012 You might want to post this on the Caribbean ports of call boards under Cozumel
Rare Keith1010 Posted April 29, 2012 #3 Share Posted April 29, 2012 Sorry that this happened to you. You just never know where it will happen including our very own country. Keith
