dun123das Posted April 28, 2012 #1 Share Posted April 28, 2012 I have been reading that Cunard have been trialling selling bottles of spirits for use in cabins on Queen Elizabeth. Does anyone know whether this trial has finished, or whether this policy will be in place during the Springbreak on 18th May this year?
Underwatr Posted April 28, 2012 #2 Share Posted April 28, 2012 You can always buy liquor for in-cabin consumption (it's a page in the room service menu) but IIRC what they were trialing on QE was duty-free pricing for in-cabin consumption. dun123das Posted April 29, 2012 Author #3 Share Posted April 29, 2012 OK, thank you - I will go on line to get a copy of the menu, thank you. I suspect that is going to be more expensive than the duty-free option, but as the cruise is in European waters, duty-free is unlikely. Cheers. balf Posted April 29, 2012 #4 Share Posted April 29, 2012 Just left QM and though I did not buy any our table mates bought and consumed a few bottles of Scotch during the Singapore to Southampton leg of the WC. The shop was well stocked with booze and smokes and they said the prices were good. David
phoebecat Posted April 29, 2012 #5 Share Posted April 29, 2012 Does anyone know if they have this shop on Q Victoria? And as we are going to teh Baltics, two sea days to start and then first country is Norway, not in EU, will we be able to purchase? Many thanks.
