Regarding Cruise Line Frequent Passenger Programs

My husband and I are going on our first Princess cruise in October. After this cruise I think we are going to try to get our frequent passenger levels up on probably both princess and royal. Do the 3 and 4 day cruises count toward the number of completed cruises? This seems like a cheaper way to get the rewards quicker. We have always cruised for 7 days up till now. Also I know that royal gives an extra cruise credit for cruising in a suite or above. Do mini suites count? do suites count on 3/4 day cruises? How is princess' program set up? This is our first experience with princess in october.

I can't answer your question regarding Princess as I have never sailed them but I have sailed several times on RCL.

 

The answer is yes, to all questions.:D 3-4 night cruises count the same as longer & you can get the extra points for a mini suite. If you book a mini suite or higher on a 12 night cruise you get 3 points.

And RCI's program finally is really worth it! I am Diamond Plus with 45 cruises and would be hard pressed to sail with any other line - X being the exception - because of the wonderful perks.
