Congrats to you, Al! And look in your mirror on your way to Miami. I'll be driving from St Petersburg to POM Thanksgiving Morning for the B2Bs.

 

Pizza, you'll be sucking on my day old exhaust because I'm going down a day early. Hopefully the drive will be painless. Last trip to POM I skipped 1-75 and took 60 to the turnpike. It seemed to be faster and there is some pretty farmland out there. Think I may do that again. Not to mention with the Sunpass, you can breeze by all of the 95 traffic in Miami in the speed lane. Saved me a ton of time.

Day was going good. Going to Comedy show tonight. Did my daily 2-3 mile walk and then car broke down. Possibly CV Axle. Friend going to lend me her car so I can go to show and continue making my $ this weekend. Oh well. Gowith the flow.:o

Talked to my PVP to make final payment on the 2 day today...she was supposed to be going on that one and we were finally going to meet her, but she had to cancel...I'm bummed:(

 

Glad this week is over and done...it was a weird one...plus it brings us closer!:D

You said that right. I've been getting my ass chewed out a lot by my claimant's lately too. I hope this economy gets better soon because the crazy train is off its track these days.

 

Some of the stuff I've experienced lately ...

 

I'm gonna picket outside my agent's office in my lab coat, stethoscope and my big glasses and hold a sign with snoopy kicking me. And my son is going to drive me because one arm is in a cast and the other is in a sling and I can't see because I'm blind. ... Says the woman with 20/20 vision.

You sure you want to do that in Arkansas? ... said the attorney who thought we were going to deny his client's claim.

 

I can't talk to you anymore, I need money now, my job is making me work too many hours, I can't put food on the table. ... says the doctor who makes 350K a year.

 

My fathers an accountant and he told me what my loss of income was in an hour. ... to the guys that sent nothing to us to make that determination.

 

Does that mean you are going to take my policy away? ... says the guys who goes on claim 12 days after issue of the policy.

 

Folks I am not making this up, this all happened in the last couple of weeks.

I'm in the health ins field.. used to work for a Blue, but now on the vendor side of things, in the Fraud Waste and Abuse arena - actually a Health Ins Fraud Investigator... sounds a lot more exciting than it is - usually spend my days analyzing spreadsheets and looking for aberrant claim billings from providers - but I hear you - we get the same excuses from the doctors that consistently bill for 60 min visits on their patients when they are only performing 30 min ones - "the insurers reimburse us too little, so we have to abuse the system".. in the long run it's every beneficiary that pays a premium that is the one getting robbed. Vicious circles.

We got a few of us in the insurance field - I'm in Individual Disability Income, you health, Floatie is P&C. Sounds like we could have some insurance story time.

 

I had a claimant who went to jail for medicare fraud. He worked in the poorest county in VA and he would tell his staff that he was building his "cavity castle." It amazes me the stupid things that people do. Hello doesn't anyone watch TV. Surveillance gets us some amazing stuff.

Yeah, I think there will be some people that may drink way too much, but I think that is going to happen even if there is no bar card. I'm not one of those people that think just because its unlimited, I'm going to see how much I can actually get for my money. Buffet anyone, lets get 20 lobster tails, 12 orders of escargot. Actually I was at a table once where someone did get 12 orders of escargot, a friend of the family. The waiters continued to bring him escargot the rest of the week too.

 

First pair of flip flops Chris? really? I actually prefer my Sanuk sidewalk surfers. I hate feet so you will see me wear those most of the time, but I'll wear flops to the beach.

 

Chris I couldn't agree more, can't wait to sail with this group. I think we have a great mix of fun people. And wow has it come up quick!

Well, it wasn't cv axle but the shift cable snapped and it cost about the same as cv! $160! Oh well. At least I had the money.

I take it you don't go to the beach? If you go to the beach, then I am going to introduce you to a friend of mine who won't let his bare feet touch sand...LOL! Needless to say he is not a beach bum:p I HATE closed shoes...I wear sneaks at the gym and in the winter if I'm leaving the house...that's about it:)
