What's up, Rogue? Yeah, you saw two links....I read somewhere right after I posted that that the cruise critic police were going to come after me or something.....heehehehe

I'm not Catholic. Non-denomination would be better, but I'm just now discovering that such a monster exists, so.... !!

When's YOUR next cruise??

Sure I have run into those in looking at singles cruises..........but I guess you cant use the company names on this board. There were also several Jewish singles cruises. Seems like all of them had things like activities, motivational speakers and that sort of thing. The vast majority of people see themselves as Christians anyway. I have run into quite a few Jewish People and a few Muslims, but most cruises I have been on were overwhelming populated by people who see themselves as Christian. I am thinking you may have a different definition to Christian........but nevertheless I have seen the cruises advertised ...........It really tempting to post some company names.....but its against the rules or something. I just came home real quick for lunch and don't have much time to reply to the other postings, but I wanted to let you know that I am a Christian. This doesn't mean I force my opinions or beliefs onto others, but since I started studying the Bible chapter by chapter and verse by verse about 2 years ago, I consider myself more learned on the subject than many people. And I say that not to put others down or to brag, but simply because most churches don't teach the Bible in great detail. It's usually "read one or two verses, then ramble on about Uncle Harry or some other family member". I enjoy studying with Shepherd's Chapel. Back to work..talk at ya later.

This past November on a Western Carb. on the Zaandam, met alot of nice people. We also rescued three Cuba men who were adrift a sea for many days. This is my only cruise going with a group. Have traveled on many cruises but as a solo. There are sites for the type of cruises you are looking for but as mentioned not able to mention them here. Hope that a search will get you the information you are looking for.

I shared a cabin with a lady I was matched with and it turned out well she was willing to put up with me! She truly was a cool roommate. We still keep in touch every so often.

I didn't enjoy the seminar that was offered as part of the cruise package but may others did and were blessed by it. I do know that in July there is a group going out on the Oosterdam out of Seattle and the company has two others planned as well.

The group as was with had 101 singles and we had more women then men ages from mid 20's to mid 50's just a few 50's mostly 30's & 40's. Alot of us met in the hotel the night before the cruise and had a chance to visit and plan before even getting onboard. Our group also had ladies from Canada and Panama (sp).

I would LOVE to go on a Christian group cruise. My son (7 YO) accepted Christ last summer and he has sooooo many questions about heaven. We've been studying The Bible together to find his answers. Dan I commend you for not pushing your agenda and pray that God blesses you while you study His word.

Keep the faith!

And, if anyone plans a Christian CC member cruise, keep us posted!!!

Blessings :D

Sorry Sarah. I guess that came out wrong. I guess what I meant to say was that I am a Christian, but have had a difficult time in finding a Church that teaches the Bible in detail. I wasn't trying to imply anything and I do apologize for such poor wording on my part in that last post.

Hi, I just happened across this thread. I am going to give my daughter and girlfriends this site to let them know that Christian Singles cruise groups do exist. They are cruising again in June on there own, have cruised twice before , but would like to link up with a Christian group. I guess if they google this information they might find it. I know you are not suppose to post names or links on the board. Any way I will them them to check it out. Thank You.

I have read about Christian singles cruises and it seems like that I am a Christian, baptized, confirmed, read the Bible, but I am Catholic. So....Christian Cruises have to be non demomitional.......what is that? Seriously is there some deal where you are Methodist or Lutheran or Catholic and that would make a person not eligible for a Christian cruise? What if a person is a Coptic Christian, is that acceptable? What about if you realize the King James translation of the Bible is kind of poorly done according to experts in Latin and Greek and Hebrew......Sorry but there must be some definition of who might be a Christian Cruiser and who isn't. • 2 months later...

Hi! I signed up with Biola College (a Christian college in southern California)...they are taking a group to Alaska, we leave August 7. I have no idea how many people, but the ship is sold out (the Amsterdam), so we'll see. Biola has a brilliant apologetics department (apologetics: "defense of the faith"), and we will have seminars at sea, along with, of course, the delight of admiring God's creation *smile*...I'm excited on all counts. Try Inspiration Cruises online; they sponsor quite a few Christian cruises. I travel solo, and went with my church to Ephesus, Philippi, Athens and Corinth on a cruise a couple of years ago. Awesome. Calvary Chapel, by the way, has churches all over the US and now all over the world and is, in my opinion, one of the best bible-teaching churches out there, for those who were discussing finding good bible teaching churches.

God bless you and maybe we'll cross paths on the high seas one day!

Jane :)

I don't know if this is out of place in this thread, but I will give it a try. Gives me a chance to vent, too.

I cruise twice a year with my children. I am a Christian woman who happens to shun alcohol and gambling. Though I love cruising, my biggest complaint is that it seems like every cruise that we have been on has been one big drunken party. I know that I should expect that on a cruise, but the foul language and lewd behavior we have had to put up with is horrible. It would be nice to go on a cruise with a better moral climate, no matter what denomination. I know lots of Christians drink, but hopefully don't get obnoxious and vulgar. Is a cruise true "family environment" cruise out there, or is this just a pipe dream?

Hi! Which cruise line have you been going with? I've only sailed with Norwegian....the only time it was even remotely close to the stuff you were talking about was 4 years ago...and it was spring break, so it was kind of expected.. The other 3 times I've cruised was in early March and July, and it has been pretty quiet. I know with kids it's hard to plan vacations because you're restricted by their school vacations....maybe leave the kiddies home with hubby and come out with the ladies on Sept 25th! The NCL Majesty to Bermuda! Love to have you!!! :-)

Wish I could go, but ex-hubby isn't involved with his kids, and I don't really have anyone that I can leave them with. We actually do cruise off-season most of the time, and we have encountered the obnoxious party crowd on every cruise. I will say that it was less of a problem with both Norweigan and Disney, though. Unfortunately, a pretty good handful of cruisers are falling-down drunk by lunch-time. We do are best to avoid that crowd and just ourselves a great time. It would be nice, though if people were thoughtful enough NOT to curse in public, especially around kids. I'm just venting because I know I'm preaching to the choir on this thread.

  • 4 weeks later...

I have seen something on the web called Premeire (sp?) Christian cruises. I think that is a company that rents out a whole ship and then have the rooms booked through them. They had Music Boat fest at one time and it had all the popular Christian Bands such as Audio Adrenaline, Jars of Clay, Third Day..etc. I don't know anything about them I just happen to stumble across the site somehow.I think I was looking band tour schedule and saw it. Anyways, it seems like they have several events every year. I don't think they are affiliated with any one cruiseline. I think they just find the best deal they can and utilize it. I think some people like these cruises if they weren't interested in the casinos or the drinking aspect. Not sure exactly how they are set up.

Anyways, have a great weekend!
