Transportation from Crowne Plaza FLL Airport to Port Everglades?

I disagree. This hotel is right outside the middle Port Everglades entrance. A cab to the port shouldn't be more than about $10 with tip. Whether you try to put 4 in a cab, or go with 3 per cab, it's still a lot cheaper than $96 for the shuttle. And there's no guarantee you will all get in the shuttle together either, if the idea of travelling together is of any concern.

Thanks for your advice, I will consider the cab...

Any restaurants or things to do near the hotel?

Not a whole lot in that immediate area. Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza is just up the road to the north of the hotel, and it gets good reviews on here. http://anthonyscoalfiredpizza.com/

To the west about a half mile is a Lesters Diner, and the original Anthony's restaurant, Runway 84. http://www.runway-84.com

I haven't stayed at this hotel yet, but I've read good things on here about the restaurant in the hotel. Also, the pool area is up on the roof of the parking garage, about 4 floors up, and gives a view of the port.

We ate at Anthony's a few weeks ago when we stayed here and it was good. This hotel was very clean (weird lobby) and modern. During our stay didn't see many people make use of the hotel restaurant but it's my understanding that it does get pretty decent reviews. Also, used a cab to the port and the fare was just under ten bucks to terminal 25(without tip), with very little traffic.
