Parking in Bayonne?

Any advice to the parking situation at the Cape Liberty port? Also, we're driving from Ma. and wondering if there's a better way than travelling over the GW bridge during rush hour traffic? ;)

Parking at the port is $19 per day.

 

I suggest you repost this question on the East Coast Departures board. One of the regular posters there is an expert on driving to Cape Liberty from New England, as she does it frequently.

Parking at the Bayonne Port is easy. There is no other option nearby anyway..if there is, you would have to get a cab into the port.

Your car will be safe. It is fenced in. You may read somewhere that a lot of cars got spray painted some years back..

It was NOT a malicious act. They were painting a nearby ship and oops...something went array.

We always take the Tappan Zee bridge instead of the GW.

We are more familiar with the Tappanzee and prefer traveling over it. Is it much further when using this option?
