lolmerry Posted May 9, 2012 #1 Share Posted May 9, 2012 Hi sailing on the breeze in sept 2012,we have booked a balcony room on deck 10,We have booked the actuall cabin number, was just wondering if you still get chance of a upgrade, and if so what would you be upgraded to? and when would you know, thanks lolmerry
Rare jrmende63 Posted May 9, 2012 #2 Share Posted May 9, 2012 There are very FEW real upgrades. But they do occasionaly happen. They could happen anytime up until the boarding begins. Generally you are more likely to get an UPSELL call. Meaning you can get cabin x for this amount of additional dollars. Upsells can happen anytime as well. General rule of thumb is be happy with what you booked as you most likely will be sailing in that cabin.
Rare jrmende63 Posted May 9, 2012 #3 Share Posted May 9, 2012 also just thought about this...if you booked early saver rate and the rate comes down lower than what you paid then sometimes you can upgrade for free or pay just the tax amount ( usually if the tax amout changes it is just a few dollars). If you booked any other rate besides early saver then you can upgrade only until the final payment date. ( you can get your price lowered up until final payment as well). After that there is supposed to be upgrades and On board credit for only the early saver rate.

UK Citizen so early saver dont apply to us,seems such a shame as there seems some good savings and o/b/c,that some of you get, wonder why uk citizens dont get any perks,We are still expected to pay the same as everyone else,? I brought up this point on facebook and on an earlier post. Not only do uk folk not get benefit from reductions in price after booking, we also only get half (or less) obc, as the US folk get $200 per person, and we get $200 per cabin. We were also unable to enter a fb competition for a free cruise as this was only open to US customers. Hope there is no difference in the level of service once we are on board. Really looking forward to cruising on the Breeze in July, but can't understand why Carnival treat US folk more favourably than their other customers. I Agree,We should be treated the same,we are still expected to pay our gratuities, where US citizens have had theres paid with o/b/c and early saver discounts,,something wrong somewhere :(
