Icy Strait Point Zipline???

I have heard that there is a pretty long zipline at this port. Can you just go ashore and buy a ticket, or must it be done as part of a ship tour? We generally try to do things "on our own" without using ship tours. Any information or advice is welcome. Thank you.

Hey there - we were there in 2009 and returning again in 12 weeks. We just rocked up on the day and booked this. You go on a bus ride to the top and then Zipline down - it was AWESOME!!! You will love it. No probs with booking direct on the day!!:)

Wow I just did a search on you tube, there are some amazing videos of folks on the zip line. It really does look fantastic.

If you just turn up and book how much does it cost?

Hey there - from memory maybe $120.00??? It was a few years ago so don't remember exactly. BUT it was fantastic and I thought it was worth the money - loads of fun BUT over way too quickly!!:o

What with the Helicopter tour, kayaking, whale watching, hike and float the Chilkoot trail plus the speciality dining package we have already spent a fortune!!

Go for it..You guys need excitement !! You will enjoy AK better than a short cruise around the Pacific South West LOL

 

When you leave the top you can hardly be seen at the bottom and slowly come into sight. It's a long way down.

 

(not that I ever did it. GVW not big enough for me)
