Anybody on AMA Waterways Black Sea Cruise beginning September 8 in Istanbul?

Emily, so glad to know there is someone else on this cruise. I will look further to see if I can find the roll call. After reading about Tauck's river cruise disembarking early in Romania due to low water levels on the Danube I have become a bit concerned that our cruise may end up with lots of land and not much water. It still appears to be quite warm so I have repacked some lighter weight clothes,too. We are on the United non-stop out of Newark on Friday--are you on that one? See you soon.

Hi again,

We are leaving from Newark on the 5th but using miles so are staying with friends in London for 2 nights before we leave for Istanbul EARLY on the 8th. We are in cabin 317 so leave us a note and we can meet. We have taken 2 other AMA trips and they have been absolutely wonderful. Very organized and we have always met such interesting and diverse people. I'm in the middle of packing and repacking "hell" right now also. See you in Turkey.

There are a few of us taking this trip at the end of May. How did you handle having to get/use different currencies in the different countries?

 

Did you take any of the optional? If so, which and were they worth it?
