B2B Question

B2B Carnival Magic out of Galveston 1st leg DD & I with another Mom & Daughter. The 2nd leg my DH & DS are joining us. I know that DD & I will be escorted off the ship, through customs and embarkation and right back on the boat. My question is can my DH & DS be at the terminal early and go through the embarkation with us and the ship's officer or do they have to wait and do the embarkation process with the other 3000 pax's?

Call Carnival to see if they know for sure. My guess is it won't happen. B2B escort is a special courtesy treatment and they are not B2B pax. Your escort is before they are ready to start boarding the next batch of PAX.

Hi Flounder,

Back to back passengers are considered passengers (In-Transit) in the

eyes of customs/immigration & the cruise line officer(s) overseeing the process...

My best guess would be, no, your DH & DS would not be able to embark with

you during the 'turnaround', in-transit process.

A very warranted question indeed, considering the circumstance, but I

am certain they will have to board with the other 3000 passengers.

Thanks for the replies. I was hoping they could join us so that we wouldn't have to go to guest services and change them to my credit card for their S&S cards. I guess I will just have him put $100.00 bucks on his S&S card and we will make the trip to guest services on day 2 to change things, after things settle down at GS desk. We have $595.72 OBC, so hopefully we wont spend much more than that.

I'm solo on Leg 1 of my B2B in November.

For Leg 2, my cruising buddy and my DD and her new DH will be joining me. Don't know yet if they'll be arriving together or not because we haven't booked flights.

DD will be Platinum on that cruise. I have her and friend booked in one cabin and her future husband with me in the "surprise" balcony cabin for them.

I'm hoping that when I print individual FunPasses, they will all say VIP because of having a Platinum person in each cabin.

Then, once they board, we'll go to the desk (thank goodness for the Platinum line on that first afternoon!), and switch cabin keys.

Is it possible for me to get the room keys switched before they board? At the desk, I mean. Naturally, I can't do anything about the keys they'll be handed when they check in, but if I could do it before they begin general boarding, I could meet them in the Lobby, hand them their keys, and escort them to their honeymoon cabin. :D
