How to pay the tips?

We have been on Princess, where they add tips to your sail & sign card. How does Costa do the tips - added to sail & sign card or do you tip the last night?

Costa will add your tips to your account automatically

We were on the Atlantica in December and tips were taken automatically, never heard of being given personal tip choise, maybe it's different in the Med

You have to go to the Costumer Service Counter and ask for Automatic Tip Cancelation, they never suggest this way, but they have to do it if you want so. A large porcentage of the crew members is based on tips, and the cruise line want to garantee that everybody is been tipped. REMEMBER TIP IS OPTIONAL BASED ON THE QUALITY OF THE SERVICE THAT YOU RECIVE.

Two nights prior desembarkation you go to Costumer Service Counter to confirm that the cancelation was done, and in this way don't double tip. This step is optional, but I did it just to be sure.
