Casino Questions

Recommended Posts

On my last cruise, a friend told me not to use my Sail & Sign Card in the slot machines because I would be charged a premium for doing so (credit card percentage maybe?) But I see the only way to get anything from the Player's Club is to use your S&S. That leaves me with two questions:

1. Is my friend right about getting charged more if I use the S&S?

2. Do I need to do anything to sign up for the Player's Club before I start playing, or is it automatic with my S&S?

THANKS to all the experts!

I've never been charged any fee for using my SS card in the slots, and we do this every cruise.....not sure what they meant. You have to set up your account initially when you put your card in and then you can transfer to and from your "player bank". Any time you run out of money on the card you can add more and it gets added to your SS bill. Hope that helps. :)

There is a 3% charge to get cash from the cage, table or pursers desk. There is no charge for getting cash into your Players Bank using a slot machine.

To set up the Players Bank just follow the dierctions on any machine. The slot attendants can help you with that. Basically it's inserting your S&S card and creating a PIN.

That sounds too easy.

Remember that there are basically two accounts on your S&S card. One is your S&S bill and the other is your player's bank. You can charge your S&S bill to put cash in your player's bank, but your player's bank DOES NOT pay your S&S bill. I ran into two different people this weekend who made comments after winning $20 or so about uploading it to pay their bill. It doesn't work that way.

It's a very simple process and the way you earn perks.

I know exactly what you mean. I'm dreading the temptation of the first ever casino in my hometown in the near future, not to mention the racino opening next month at the local horse racing track with nearly 2,000 video slot machines.

I have recently found when logging into the CCL site, I now have the choice of a casino rate as well as past cruiser etc. This rate was a nice discount, also found out I will get $ to play with on my next cruise.

They also offer special cruises for casino players, which have a great rate and private parties. (I have yet to qualify for one of these)

I find this to be a nice perk since I can't seem to stay away from the casino-lol

If you have any problem setting up your account someone on staff will be happy to help you.
