Dining in Valletta

We're planning on making this an easy day without an excursion. Is there a restaurant at the port where we can have a nice lunch and some Maltese wine?

We were in Valletta for a long weekend in May - the food at Palazzo preca on strait street was excellent. Not on the harbourfront, but less than 10 minutes away

There is a number of restaurants along the port front, very handy for getting off the ship and just a couple of minutes walk. I'm not sure if they sell maltese wine, but it would be reasonable to assume so.

Lots of good places for lunch in Valetta. Just walk around and find one you like. The shuttle bus leaves from the dock and it's about a 5 minute up hill drive to the main bus terminal. Cost is 2.6 Euro for a day pass. We then took the bus to Marsaloxkk (sp?). at the end of the Island for lunch. That's a pretty little fishing village with lots of restaurants right on the water. The Malta bus system is very easy to use.

Thanks for the info. We went to Trip Advisor to find the names of some restaurants. Now we will be needing a street map Hopefully they will be selling maps near the port(?).
