Morris4me Posted May 30, 2012 #1 Share Posted May 30, 2012 Hubby and I wanted to get to Sting Ray City but understand there are 3 other ships in port besides ours. I've read that it is the most popular excursion and am worried that it will be very crowded in that area. Are we better off booking a different tour? cb at sea Posted May 30, 2012 #2 Share Posted May 30, 2012 No worries...this is designed for max. number of ships...you can do what you want! Not a problem! If you want to do stingrays...book it. Not everyone is interested in same thing....plenty for everyone!
runner15km Posted May 31, 2012 #3 Share Posted May 31, 2012 Four ships in port is not bad, sometimes there is up to six. Some go to the beach, snorkeling, shopping, Hell, Turtle Farm or just stay on the ship. Don't worry have fun ! :)
drew sailbum Posted May 31, 2012 #4 Share Posted May 31, 2012 Four ships is a pretty normal day for Cayman. No worries.
Rare Keith1010 Posted May 31, 2012 #5 Share Posted May 31, 2012 We have been there with seven ships anchored so you'll be fine with four. Keith
CruzieSue Posted June 1, 2012 #6 Share Posted June 1, 2012 I believe there were seven ships the day we were there. We took the Moby Dick Stingray City tour. Our captain decided to do the snorkeling part first due to a little bit of crowding at the stingrays, by the time snorkeling was over, it had cleared out quite a bit. Stingray City is going to be a little crowded anyway but don't let that keep you from enjoying it. It's a GREAT excursion !!! :)
