Drop our carry-ons in our cabin, change into swim suits, grab a quick bite & drink and head for the top deck for quality time in the sun - usually only Carnival employees up there then.

Reminds me of a joke

First time couple goes to their cabin. Check out the balcony. Then runs to the pursers desk and complain. We paid extra for a balcony and all we see is a parking lot.

Agree with New Orleans Guy and HappyShelly, what better way to test the noise level of the cabin, check for bed bugs, check out the water pressure in the shower, and work up an appetite to objectively judge the food? Sorry, couldn't resist. Happy cruising!

After I wipe the tears of absolute joy from my face, we dump our luggage at the room, grab a drink and head onto the deck to stand there and look over the rail as we begin our departure away from land. During this time, I just savor how I feel....nothing makes me feel as good as these first moments on a ship.

I've never made it from the lobby where you enter the ship to my room without at least one cocktail.....then drop off bags and eat....

Give me a couple hours to get all the threads linked. :p

You may need more than a couple :p

1st stop is the nearest bar, then off to find the cabin :D ;)

don't bother.

all the 'good' evidence against me has been 'poofed'!

AND I stick with my original response...what I say we do when we board the ship is excatly what we do :p and that's the truth :p

I am nearly 43....20 years ago it would have been a much different story  ...those were the days ;)
