Switching Dinner Times

Recommended Posts

We have booked early dining for our cruise. My daughter just booked the same cruise and they don't have any option other then MTD. When we get on the ship will we be able to go and have them switched to early dining with us?

Thanks in advance!

If they want early seating, have them get on the "wait list" and link your booking numbers. If the change doesn't happen before you board, go to the dining room on boarding day and request the change. The other option is for you to switch to MTD, and you can eat at the same time with them as main seating, but you'll simply be doing it in the MTD space!

She can change her MTD to the same time as the early seating...Let her go to the website and adapt her reservation, should not be a problem and link your reservations.

She needs to get wait listed for the early seating with you, and you must have your reservations linked.

Booking MTD at the same time as early seating is scheduled will be of no help at all to her as the two are in separate areas/floors of the the dining room. This just happened to friends of ours who decided to join us on our upcoming Allure cruise. They were wait listed, and within a couple of weeks moved to our late dining schedule.

We booked through an online agency. They told us we are linked but MTD is the only option available now for my daughter and there is no wait list. We prefer early seating over MTD as we like having the same wait staff, interaction with other diners at our table.

Just hoping once we get on the ship we can switch them over to early seating.

You can have that same interaction with others as well as the same wait staff even with MTD. However, if you prefer traditional dining at a set time, then have your TA link your booking numbers together and then have your daughter put on the waitlist for Main Seating.

Since I believe that the cruise you are referring to is the Explorer in December, if you have your TA put your daughter on a wait list for early seating, chances are very good that she will get early seating. Just make sure that your TA links your booking numbers together.
