Could someone be kind enough to tell me, the approximate walking distance from where the Norwegian Cruise line coach from the airport drops you off to the embarkation gathering area prior to boarding the Jade

Could be about a 20 minute walk

 

However, there are other options

 

Some times the port of Venice runs a shuttle bus

 

I understand there is a new elevated moving walkway

 

And you could always take a taxi

The people mover is not an elevated walkway, it is a more like a tram (similar to those used between airport terminals).

 

The bus stop is in the parking lot at the start of the people mover....quite close. When I was there the people mover was 1 euro, IIRC. The people mover drops you at the front entry to the port...the distance from there depends on the berth assigned to your ship...I walked maybe 5-8 minutes or so.

 

I did not try the walk from P. Roma to the port entry...from the people mover, it did not look interesting or inviting to me.

We just did the same 5/19 at most even walking slow is 5 min. walk into cruise terminal.

 

If your using the NCL transfer from airport to pier there is no need for the water taxi or people mover.
