Capri Boat tour and Anicapri in one day?

We're still trying to figure out what we are going to do for our Naples stop. We're thinking of booking a 3 or 4 hour tour on Gianni's Boat from the marina in Capri and then trying to get to Anicapri. Not sure if it will be possible to do both. Has anyone attempted something like this. Is it doable or is it too much for one day? We are in Naples from 7am to 7pm on August 9 with LOS. We're 3 families with a total of 10 children between 8 and 16. Thanks for any insight anyone can provide.

You have plenty of time to do both.

If you are off the ship and on a ferry by 8 AM you'll be on Capri by 9. Your four hour tour would be over by one, leaving you three more hours to explore Capri, or even four hours if you take a 5 PM ferry (putting you back at the cruise port by 6 PM, an hour before sail time).

If I understand your question correctly, the answer is no. The boat operators on Capri will not come up to Naples to pick you up, you need to take a ferry or jet boat out to the island. The Capri tour operators will meet you at Marina Grande, where the boats from Naples drop you off.

You may be able to hire a yacht from Naples for a full day, to include a ride out to and around Capri.

Here's a source for chartering a yacht with an English speaking captain: http://www.amalficoastyacht.com/

From Molo Beverello, the pier right next to the cruise port, the boats are all pretty much the same. Car ferries go from a different pier.

As you walk toward Molo Beverello from the cruise port you'll see a large sign board that lists the next few boats, you simply pick the next one going to Capri and buy your ticket from that company.
