They say you have to pay your balance by Travelers Checks or Cash. I also questioned what you do if you decide to do any of the other activites. Also travelers checks or cash. Does everyone bring a ton of cash to these places? Or just lots of travelers checks?

You can easily use traveler's checks to pay your balance because you'll know how much to bring; you should bring cash for extras that you may want to purchase (snorkel tour, massage, floating mat, pictures,) and tips. We used cash (USD) for everything there. I think what they are trying to say, politely, is "no credit or debit cards."
