Good example of why you want to test everything on the surface, and why you should give your buddy a look once over to see if everything looks connected on their gear too. Yes, this definitely lens credence to that statement. I'm still learning and I hope I wouldn't forget to check the pressure hose going to the BCD, but having seen that incident, I hope it sticks with me. One possible problem is, I am not planning on diving again until May and I hope in the excitement I don't forget. Anyone recommend a good scuba forum? I don't think that is a competitor of this site, so hopefully they will allow it, or I'll read your recommendation before they come and delete it! ;) My attitude towards firearms should help with scuba as well.
