Does Carnival's Bring Your Own Beverage policy include juice and/or energy drinks? Does it have to be soda or water?

We bring a combination. We had a 12 pack of water, 6 diet cokes and 4 Rockstar energy drinks.

So I can have each of my kids bring their own 12 pack of soda or water? Can this be with the checked luggage so we don't have to carry around 48 cans until the cabins are ready?

They must be in your carry on, not in your checked luggage.
