laundry on glory

Recommended Posts

I have been trying to find out about laundry facilities on the Glory - previous posts are dated 2008. One post listed several decks that they are on, but then another posted a picture which listed washers in some rooms and irons in other rooms. Also some say they take quarters and others dollars which do I need  where exactly are they - no deck plans have them listed .

I want to try and avoid excess baggage allowance

Take bills. If you need quarters you can get change at Guest Services or the casino cashier.

The folks on the Carnival Board can help with the locations of the laundry rooms.

Probably faster to contact the cruise line or look it up on their website.

Not to worry. Your concerns can be resolved on the ship. Dollar coins are still not commonly used and chances are that the machines take quarters, probably about $2 or $3 worth per load. It's not likely that you can secure quarters outside the US anyway, so just plan on getting whatever on the ship. There will also be a dispenser for soap, etc. When I went on Princess, I took some Purex wash sheets. They are light and effective and would recommend them if you can find some.

Know they have one, with an iron, on deck 9, on the port (left) side. I've used it. Your room steward can tell where they are on your deck. As was said you must use quarters which you can get from the purser's desk, $3.00 for washer and $3.00 for dryer. I've taken my detergent in a zip lock bag.

You can also send all your laundry to the ship's laundery but that can be pricey. However, only your laundery will be washed , by itself, with no one else's. Its a wash & fold, cost more $$$$ if you want them to press it.
