Seating in MDR for 18

Hi, sailing on the elation. Our group of 12 just grew to a group of 18. What are the possibilities of us bring able to be seated together, not all at one table of course. We will have 8 teens/pre-teens. The rest of us are grown folks.

Are all the reservations linked and the same dining times requested?

When we had a large group they gave us two tables, and we would change table mates. Fortunately we had the same servers.

If you linked the reservations together they should seat you near each other, if not, there is no way for them to know and once you board would be too late to tell them.

Then you should be close. Have everyone compare dining arrangements (on Sing and Sail cards) and if something is off, check with the maitre d' ASAP after boarding.

When my son got married on the Victory we had a big group. We made sure our reservations were linked and they gave us two big tables by each other. We switched seating each night, had the same server so it worked great. Have fun.

As has already been stated, as long as the bookings are linked you should be fine. We had 28 of us on the Inspiration, and the staff in the MDR did an incredible job.

 

They put us at two large rounds with ten each, and connected that table with an 8' straight job. Picture a large barbell. We felt physically together, and we mixed it up each night so we could converse well with different family members. It worked out wonderfully.

We did this with a group of 20 or so. Put us in three tables next to each other and we just moved each night from table to table.

yes make sure you check your sail and sign cards for everyone once you are on the ship. Last cruise they had all our group together except my daughter and her friend were put in the late seating :eek: we were all linked together, it was just an oversight. The matre D had them put one chair at the end of our long table and it worked out fine.

We always swith spots every night around the table so you get a different view and you can talk to others in your group.

just make sure they are together when you board but usually they have tables next to each other for big parties. have a great time!!!!
