Has Cunard discovered the Aussie market??

Recommended Posts

Apparently, the visits of Queen Elizabeth and Queen Mary 2 to Australian waters earlier this year were well patronised by Aussies - and during the recent 3 Queens cruise, there were apparently approx 500 Aussies onboard each of the ships (there were over 300 from the city of Perth alone) - and MOST of us waved the supplied Union flags on the evening of the Queens Jubilee evening. It was a bit hard for me to sing "God save the Queen" for me though - as it was a long time since that was our National Anthem too and I had forgotten the words :o

The number of other cruiseships temporarily basing themselves out of Sydney also says something -- that we Aussies are cruising!! :) -- although I do pay homage to P&O AUS and Princess AUS for establishing a permanent presence and growing the market, whereas these others are not much more than carpetbaggers.
