RCCL Mariner vs. DCCL Magic

I am trying to decide between these two ships. Traveling with an 8yo and 5yo. Can anyone help provide some insight? DCCL Magic is $400 more if I book by tomorrow! It also departs one week earlier (Dec. 8 vs. Dec. 16).

Just not sure if the Disney Magic is worth taking the kids out of school a week earlier.

Can anyone who has been on the two ships compare for me? Or, provide any other insight?

$400 isn't THAT much difference. Usually I tell everyone to go with Royal or NCL over Disney. But if you have never done Disney - and the price is just $400 more and your children are at THAT age - then I would go with Magic.

We've done Magic and Wonder. My kids have a "been there, did that" feeling to Disney. They keep moving through the RCL and NCL ships now. But if my girls had never experienced Disney - I would be booking that one. :)
