RCI sister ships.

Isn't Celebrity RCI's sister ship? (ships?) Can you earn points toward your RCI Crown and Anchor status with Celebrity? Just curious if anyone has done this.

No...more like a step-sister...They are owned by the same parent company...Sorry no credits are earned toward your RCI C&A status.

First no Celebrity ships are not sister ships to RCI´s ships.

 

Sister ships are ships within the same class like Freedom of the Seas, Liberty of the Seas and Indipendence of the Seas are all sister ships within the Freedom Class.

 

None of RCI´s ships share the same class as Celebrity´s.

 

Now the cruise lines RCI and Celebrity, as well as a few other cruise lines are owned by the same parent company - RCCL.

 

You cannot earn cruise points towards your C&A account when sailing on Celebrity or vice versa.

 

If you are at least Platinum with C&A you can apply for a Captains Club membership and receive the matching status on Celebrity. With this you can enjoy the perks on your first Celebrity cruise, but it won´t get you any points in C&A. The cruise will count towards your Captains Club account. On a side note you will start with zero pints on your CC account even though you might have a higher status, so to move higher in Captains club you need to cruise the same amount like someone without status match. (Of course this is a moot point when starting at the highest level already;))
