There are no cheap hotels in Singapore. When we sailed from there we let RCL book the hotel for us, it was a very good hotel and it beat the prices I could get independently.:)

RCI now uses the new Marina Bay cruise terminal. Ibis Singapore on Bencoolen Ave was fine for our 1 night post cruise this past March. $175 a nite. Good location, cheap cab ride from port and hotel is walking distance (15min) to Clarke Quay restaurants. Use Agoda.com for good pricing on hotels in Far East.

hi Jocelysue

There are 4 of us going on the same cruise from Victoria BC Canada. Judging by the reviews on Tripadvisor, we have booked our rooms at Kam Leng Hotel (3 Star) which is located in "Little India" of Singapore. For 2 rooms, 2 nights, the total came to $385.00 CAD w taxes and all breakfasts. Cab ride to the pier (Marina Bay) is 10 min from this hotel. Hope this helps!

Cabs are very cheap in Singapore, hotels are not, So you might want to stay further away and travel in by cab.

Marina sands is very expensive!

i just booked a Feb 2013 cruise on Legend and it will be from Marina Bay Cruise Center... nearest hotel? Marina Bay Sands :)

other options include the Fullerton

Hi everyone - this is the answer we received from RCI on Nov 6, 2012 regarding which terminal the Legend will be departing from on April 5 2013:

"Thank you for your email. We apologize for the delay in our response.

Legend of the Seas sailing April 5, 2013 will depart out of Singapore. The address for the port is:

Singapore Cruise Center (SCC)

1 Maritime Square, HarbourFront Centre,

Singapore

For more information about the port, including driving directions, please visit the following link:

http://www.royalcaribbean.com/customersupport/faq/details.do?pagename=frequently_asked_questions&pnav=5&pnav=2&faqSubjectName=Directions+to+the+Pier&faqId=2737&faqSubjectId=331&faqType=faq

On the initial day of sailing, guests may begin boarding at approximately 12:00 pm. All guests must be onboard no later than an hour and a half before the ship departs. Guests arriving late will not be permitted to sail. This supports government regulations that require cruise lines to submit a departure manifest a designated amount of time prior to sailing"

So.....with having read that some of you departed (or will be departing) from Marina Bay Center, this response from RCI makes it more confusing!

Hi this is my first reply in this forum and I'm just giving what I found. This is going to be confusing because according to the Marina Bay Cruise Centre Singapore Schedule, the April 5 2013 Legend of the Seas will depart at the NEW cruise centre.

Please check the schedule as below:

http://mbccs.com.sg/index.php?select_vessel=&to_date_hidden=30%2F04%2F2013&from_date_hidden=01%2F04%2F2013&option=com_jumi&view=application&fileid=4&Itemid=117

I believe RCCL will use the new cruise centre for their future cruises in Singapore because of the larger turnaround area and deeper waters. But the safest way is to check with Royal Caribbean some time before your departure date :D
